As preparations were being intensified towards the Swearing Ceremony in the Federal Capital Territory and the various state capitals in Nigeria, not less than 7 people were confirmed dead while several others were injured as a twin bomb blast rocked a wedding programme in Tashan Alade in Hawul Local Government Area of Borno state.
The blasts, which occured within minutes apart, detonated at about 6am according to local sources. The second blast was said to have occured at some distance from the first one as the victims were being rescued.
A suspect was arrested in connection with the bomb blast.
