Protest has continued in the Burundian capital of Bujumbura a day after a failed coup attempt against the president, Pierre Nkurunziza. The president had requested the people to stay away from the streets but protesters have continued to protest against his decision to seek a third term in office, a decision which has caused political turmoil and violent outbreaks culminating in the failed coup attempt. The protesters who vow to continue the protest until the president steps down, promised to come out in larger number next week, as the decision violates the country's constitution as well as the Peace deal that ended the civil war a decade ago.
