PDP MELODRAMA: PDP BoT CHAIRMAN, TONY ANENIH, RESIGNS

The Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, has resigned.The resignation, which takes immediate effect, is based on "personal grounds"Anenih's resignation is the second of such coming from the top shots of the party in the last 24hours, following the resignation of the Chairman of the party, Adamu Muazu.

The National Working Committee (NWC),in accepting the resignation, noted the outstanding contributions of Chief Anenih to the progress of the party over the years.

The party, in a statement by its National Secretary, Wale Oladipo, said “As one of the founding fathers of the PDP, the NWC appreciates Chief Anenih’s guiding role in the party in the last 16 years and wish him well in his future endeavours.” 

The statement further said “consequent upon the resignation, the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Senator Walid Jibrin holds forth pending the election of a new BoT Chairman”.
