Kidnapping was almost entirely limited to the Niger-Delta region in the past. It is, however, becoming a daily affair in other parts of the country today having had several cases reported from Lagos state and, of recent, Kogi state.

Top on the list is a failed attempt at kidnapping a school girl earlier today.
The kidnappers were arrested at Idita zone 6, Mokuro road after some women noticed the strange manner in which the vehicle was driven and then raised an alarm.

The kidnappers have been transferred to the Police Headquarters in Osogbo.
