BOKO HARAM: NIGERIAN ARMY ARRESTS FAKE BRIGADIER GENERAL IN BAUCH

The Nigerian army as said that it has arrested one Aliyu Hussaini, a member of the dreaded Boko Haram sect who has been parading himself as a Brigadier General of the Nigerian army. According to the statement from the official website of the Nigerian army, the arrest was made by the soldiers of the 33 Artillery Brigade.The statement reads "The 33 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army has recorded another land mark success in the ongoing Operation Zaman Lafiyah as troops of the Brigade recently arrested one Aliyu Hussaini, popularly known as Colonel, a suspected Boko Haram Terrorist (BHT) member and an Impostor who has been parading himself as a Brigadier General in the Nigerian Army." 

"The troops who were acting on a tip off,  said Aliyu Hussaini was a sponsor and also a member of the Boko Haram Terrorist organisation, carried out a raid operation which led to the successful arrest of Aliyu and another suspected BHT member, one Ibrahim Mohammed who is also known as Yuram. It was later gathered that Aliyu had been defrauding innocent citizens in the belief that he was a General in the Nigerian Army."

The statement further states that the two suspects were arrested at the New GRA, behind the Deputy Governor’s House in Bauchi Metropolis. and that  the items  recovered from them include: "two Nokia, a Samsung hand set and a Techno handset, one MTN sim card and a Peugeot 406 vehicle with registration number AU 222 BWR (ABUJA). Documents indicative of various fraudulent details were also recovered from the suspects."
