EKITI HAUSA/DRIVERS CLASH: FAYOSE IMPOSES DUSK TO DAWN CURFEW

Following the clash that ensued between the  Hausa community and drivers in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, the governor of the state, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on the state capital. This, according to him, is to prevent further unrest as well as to arrest the perpetrators of the mayhem.The governor made this known while addressing the Hausa Community in Atikakan area of the state capital. The curfew, which is to run between 6pm and 6am, began on Thursday and security agencies have been ordered to arrest anybody found roaming around during the said period.
Fayose peaded with the aggrieved parties to submit there weapons and allow peace to reign in the state. "Nigeria belongs to all of us, whether you are Hausa, Ibo or Yoruba and, for the sake of our country, I plead with you to allow peace to reign," he said.
Also, the governor promised that the incidence would be thoroughly investigated and that "the perpetrators and sponsors of this evil act will not go unpunished’’ assured.
